# Advisor chat

> How Advisor chat uses forecast context to answer cash-flow planning questions.

Advisor chat helps users ask questions about their forecast in plain language.

## Starter prompts

The app includes prompts such as:

* What should I watch before my next paycheck?
* Which bill timing change would help the most?
* Explain my lowest balance day.
* What is one safe next action this week?

## Conversation context

Each conversation can be linked to an account. Advisor loads the selected account context before answering.

Useful context includes:

* Account name and balance
* Date range
* Future income and expenses
* Top outflow categories
* Upcoming transactions
* Previous Advisor messages
* Recent checkups

## Fallback behavior

If the AI provider is unavailable, Advisor can return a built-in forecast summary. The app should clearly tell the user when a fallback response was used.

## Good questions for Advisor

* "What date should I worry about?"
* "Which transaction would help most if I moved it?"
* "Can I add a \$200 payment this week?"
* "What is making next week tight?"
* "What should I do before my next paycheck?"

## Limits

Advisor should not:

* Guarantee outcomes.
* Give investment, legal, tax, or credit advice.
* Tell users to take irreversible financial actions.
* Hide uncertainty when the forecast data is incomplete.
