# Checkups and actions

> How weekly Advisor checkups, generated action plans, and reminder emails work.

Advisor checkups turn forecast data into a short weekly review.

## Checkup output

A checkup includes:

* Title
* Summary
* Risk level
* Lowest balance date
* Lowest balance amount
* Projected finish
* Action items
* Watchlist transactions

## Risk levels

| Risk level | Meaning                                                         |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Critical   | The forecast shows a serious low-balance or negative-cash risk. |
| Watch | The forecast is not failing, but a date deserves attention. |
| Steady | The forecast appears stable based on available data. |
| Empty | There is not enough data to produce a useful checkup. |

## Generation cadence

Weekly checkups are generated for Advisor users. A fresh checkup is reused when it exists within the freshness window.

## Action generation

Actions are created from checkup items and account context. Examples:

* Fix the low-balance gap.
* Protect the low-balance day.
* Review the largest outflow category.
* Confirm the next important transaction.

## Action statuses

* Open
* Completed
* Dismissed

## Reminder emails

Advisor action reminders are sent for open actions that are due or near due. You can use them as planning nudges, then return to CalBudget to mark actions completed or dismissed.

## How to use checkups

1. Read the risk level first.
2. Review the lowest-balance date and amount.
3. Look at the watchlist transactions.
4. Choose one action that improves timing.
5. Update the calendar if your real-world plan changes.
