# Business data and privacy

> How CalBudget Business keeps company SaaS spend work separate from personal CalBudget planning.

CalBudget Business is separate from the personal CalBudget app. A personal budget, personal transactions, and personal billing plan do not mix with a company workspace.

This separation helps teams review SaaS spend without changing anyone's personal cash-flow calendar.

## What stays with the business workspace

CalBudget Business keeps company work together in the business workspace:

* Company name and verification status
* Business members and roles
* Business accounts or uploaded business spend data
* SaaS vendors, renewals, trials, and review items
* Evidence attached to a savings opportunity
* Assigned owners, due dates, and action status
* Business reports and savings history

People invited to a business workspace should only see the business information their role allows.

## What stays personal

Personal CalBudget data stays in the personal app:

* Personal accounts and balances
* Personal transactions and categories
* Personal recurring transactions and bookmarks
* Personal debt payoff plans
* Personal billing plan, such as Free, Plus, or Navigator

A CalBudget Business workspace does not automatically change a personal CalBudget plan, and a personal plan does not automatically activate CalBudget Business.

## Business verification

CalBudget Business is intended for verified businesses. Verification helps make sure the workspace belongs to a real company and that the people requesting access should be working with company spend data.

Use a business email when creating or joining a business workspace.

## Deleting data

Deleting a personal CalBudget account is separate from deleting a CalBudget Business workspace. If you need help with a business workspace, contact support and include the company name and the email address you use for CalBudget.

<Note>
  Do not send bank passwords, card numbers, or one-time codes to support. CalBudget support does not need those to help with account or workspace questions.
