# Emails and notifications

> Understand the CalBudget emails you may receive for account access, support, billing, Advisor, invites, and product updates.

CalBudget sends emails when they help you manage your account or understand important activity.

## Common email types

You may receive emails for:

* Password reset requests.
* Support ticket confirmations and replies.
* Billing or subscription updates.
* Advisor checkups and action reminders.
* Shared budget invitations.
* Product updates or newsletters when you opt in.

## Notification preferences

You can manage product update and newsletter preferences from **Profile settings**. Transactional emails, such as password resets and billing notices, may still be sent when needed for your account.

## Advisor emails

Advisor emails are informational planning reminders. They can summarize a checkup, remind you about an open action, or point you back to the app. They are not financial advice.

## Email safety

CalBudget will never ask you to email your bank password, full card number, or private credentials. If an email looks suspicious, open CalBudget directly from your browser instead of clicking links.

For help, use the in-app support widget or email [support@calbudget.com](mailto:support@calbudget.com).
