CalBudget supports account creation and sign-in across web, iOS, and desktop.

Web authentication

The web app supports:
  • Email and password
  • Google sign-in
  • Password reset
  • Session-based authenticated app access
Password reset is for email/password accounts. Google accounts do not need a CalBudget password reset.

Mobile authentication

The iOS app supports:
  • Sign in with Apple
  • Email and password
Google sign-in was removed from the iOS app by product decision.

Password requirements

Passwords must include:
  • At least 10 characters
  • An uppercase letter
  • A lowercase letter
  • A number
  • A special character

Password reset flow

  1. Choose Forgot password.
  2. Enter the email address for your CalBudget account.
  3. Open the reset email.
  4. Choose a new password that meets the requirements.
  5. Return to CalBudget and sign in again.

Account deletion

Apps that support account creation must support account deletion. CalBudget provides account deletion controls in settings.

Sign-in safety

CalBudget support will never ask you to email your password. If you need help signing in, use the password reset flow or contact support without sharing private credentials.
